Twilight clouds gather over Kanchipuram, and silver rain begins its song—delicate pin-stripes tumbling down an oxblood-red horizon. Near the hem, a solitary peacock unfurls its heart-shaped crest, listening for thunder in the stillness. Then, as if the sky itself has split, a sudden pool of teal appears: the pallu, shimmering with silvery ripples like temple tanks after a storm. In every thread the monsoon lingers—fierce, fragrant, and utterly alive.
